Nine Years

Today is our 9 year anniversary. Nick is in Park City for work, but sent me two beautiful flower arrangements one at work & one at home. Ella took some photos of it tonight. This is the small one - it's more beautiful in person, lots of lovely orchids. It's (almost) like a little tropical vacation. The one I got at work looks like it could be a banquet arrangement - even the men were commenting on how impressive it looks. I tried to take a picture of it with my phone, but there were technical difficulties. Nick even managed to get one of our neighbors to put a bottle of wine in the refrigerator while I was at work. As always, he made a very impressive romantic showing.

The flowers are a nice reminder of how incredibly lucky I am. I can't imagine trying to keep up with the kids with anyone else. Jessica & Kevin came to Ella's school picnic tonight to help with the twins. I still came home covered in ice cream. Unlike Ella, Greta did not think it was a good idea to have a treat before we came home tonight.

Ella was in her first play today - she played a little chick. I didn't hear about it before this afternoon, but we got to see some photos - she has the biggest smile on her face.

We will need to pack shoes for Greta next weekend. She was really walking like a champ at the picnic tonight & wanted to hang with the big kids on the playground. I would start to walk back toward Charlie & Kevin and Greta would squirm to be put down & would start walking back toward the swings.

The teachers said that Charlie is enjoying visiting the toddler class. He loves to sit at the table and have snacks. I can just imagine how proud he looks sitting at the table. He loves to climb into the chair in Ella's room. He sits back & puts one arm on the armrest and then scans the room like a peacock.
