Saturday marked another cold & rainy day in Indiana. Ella & I went to the Farmer's Market with Phil. It was amazing how different the market is from ours in the Salt Lake desert. Despite being the end of October, there were more veggies than peak season in Utah. Sweet potatoes, onions, peppers, green beans, tomatoes, pumpkins, herbs & lots of flowers. I wish I brought my camera. I also forgot how diverse the population is from the University - I heard at least 4 different non-English/Spanish languages being spoken. Ella enjoyed hearing the Children's Choir perform.
In the afternoon, we joined up with Ethan "the Hulk", his sister Ivy "the Frog" and their cousins for trick or treating. Despite the cold, rainy weather, the kids had a great time taking a trail of fairy tale characters & collecting candy. The last stop was to the tooth fairy for a toothbrush & a primer on dental hygiene. Last night, Ella asked for her new toothbrush because she thought it was magic.
Ella is cleaning the geode that she found in Nina's backyard. The twins & Jessica are napping & I am doing some laundry before we head home early tomorrow morning. Another trip that went too fast.
