When Mom was in town, we took her on an adventure to Antelope Island. Along the way, we encountered the Wild West.

I felt like the Pioneer Woman. All these cows a moo'n and cowboys everywhere.

We had fun watching, taking pictures & playing with my telephoto lens.

The telephoto lens was important because Grandpa is an Indiana boy & knows cows have a tendency not to listen very well.

So, he made sure all the kids & Nina kept a safe distance.

The round-up was a fun twist on the long drive. After four visits to Antelope Island, I was thrilled to finally remember my rarely used lens because I was able to capture this image of our first coyote spotting:

And though Jessica gives me a hard time about whether that REALLY is a coyote, I don't think there is any question about what kind of animal we saw. I think someone just regrets not joining her mother on the wild west adventure.
