Happy 4th of July!

We had a busy weekend. Cookout & golf with out of town friends. Night on the town with new friends. Late night neighborhood block party followed by an early morning bike parade with popsicles. Hours outside in the hot sun. Water balloon fights & slip & slides. The kids slept over 12 hours last night!
With everything around us ready to catch fire, fireworks were subdued this year. We are on week 2 of 95F or above temps & high winds. This year, rainfall in New Mexico has been a staggering .03 of an inch. It should change soon. I recently learned that Albuquerque has a monsoon season (July) and the average rainfall this month is 1.5 inches.  Suddenly, all those arroyos around town make sense.

My mom's favorite time in Tucson is Monsoon season...if it's similiar in NM, you're in for a treat!
