The Great Salt Lake

We dabbled our toes in the Lake this weekend. It was strange to see such a large body of water with only 1 boat in sight. The sailboats in the marina at Antelope Island were tiny - not like the large boats you see all over the lakes in the Midwest. The beach was very large, I don't know if it is always like that, or if the water is low. I was surprised to see such a variety of birds on the water since I thought the only thing that could live in the lake was brine shrimp.

The weather got cold & rainy. Ella is crushed that I am not letting her wear her sundresses to school. She can't wait to get to Las Vegas where I assured her it would be warm again.

Ikea is opening here tomorrow. People have been camping out since Sunday. That seems a little odd to me. Then again, I understand that shopping in the store is a unique experience.
