First Snow

Yesterday, it was 80. I knew a storm was coming in & so I was prepared for colder weather today. We got lucky & it didn't start raining until our run was almost done. It dropped over 10 degrees from the time we started our run until we finished. On the drive home, the Mount Olympus was completely hidden by the clouds.

About 11:30, Ella spotted the snow. I don't have the winter clothes out yet, so she put together the best outfit she could (and yes mom, she did have gloves to wear). When Grandma called, it was fun to hear Ella tell her that she played outside twice today (and had hot cocoa twice as well). Ella & Hogan loved the snow. Hogan just sat in the front yard while Ella made snowballs & frolicked. Within minutes, he was a white dog.

When she woke up from her nap, we took Greta outside. She was a little uncertain of the cold kept slipping on the snow. By the time Charlie woke up, Ella was inside warming up. I need to find their snowsuits so they'll be ready to play with the next storm. In the meantime, I am keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow will be warm as predicted.
