Christmas Is Coming

Kevin opening his {limited edition} beer.

Kevin brought fabulous jasmine plants for party favors.

On Saturday, we got ready for a little Christmas party. It was definitely a family effort. Jessica & Mom helped with the cooking, Kevin did the last minute grocery run, shared his special beer & brought the party favors. Even Ella did her part by cleaning her room & making the party favors for her friends. Kevin wanted to share his very special beer with a group of beer aficionados. Given the size of the cups of coffee the next morning, it was well enjoyed!
Everyone brought delicious appetizers to share, so the evening was easy. We don't entertain as much as we would like to, so it was great to have so many hands to help keep the twins busy while we got ready. I didn't even take any photos that evening, so I am glad there were some other cameras around. The kids had fun decorating cookies for Santa. I think we will be finding sprinkles for weeks to come!
I have a serious Christmas music addiction. I can never have enough! This year, I resisted buying any new music, but was very pleased to be given some new tunes for the party. My friend Kari gave me A Charlie Brown Christmas which is fun & calming. Ella listens to it every night as she falls asleep. Jessica & Kevin gave me the Pottery Barn Christmas Trilogy. I love all of the Pottery Barn CD's - you can't go wrong!
I have two favorite compilations of Christmas songs. The first mix that was made several years ago includes:
