Our Little Monkey

Ella has been obsessed with monkey bars lately. When we were in Indiana, she was very frustrated that she couldn't finish the bars. She's been focused on her goal ever since. She was very proud that she completed the monkey bars when Grandma & Grandpa were in town & started asking Nick & I to take her to the park so she could show us. The first time, she didn't make it & it made her frustrated, but she kept trying. She made it across the bars & then did it five more times to prove it wasn't a fluke. They have a set at school too. She's on them everyday when I pick her up. Now, she is practicing her speed. The other day she came home and showed me something terrible looking on her hand. I told her it was a blister & that maybe she should give the monkey bars a break for a few days. She said her teacher said the same thing. But, she didn't listen. I think it's time to look for a gymnastics class for this little one. (PS - I haven't taken final pictures yet - still waiting for the painter to finish, but you can see our new floors behind Ella).
