The camping trip was very successful. The ride down was shorter than expected which is always wonderful when traveling with the "are we there yet" crew.

The campsite was majestic. Plus, with running water, bathrooms & a sink for dishes, you {almost} didn't feel like you were camping.

The kids had so much fun playing with their classmates. Ella is the second one from the bottom in the green shirt.

And trucks to play with.

Two of Charlie & Greta's teachers have children in Ella's class and two classmates of Charlie & Greta have siblings in Ella's class - not to mention their buddies Nate & Hayden. There were plenty of friends for everyone and even the big kids played with the little ones.

We had about 60 people camping with us so finding that peaceful quiet morning time was tricky! But, the community atmosphere was a good trade-off.

We took the twins on a challenging hike. We were surprised that they had so much fun & all said it was their favorite part of the weekend. Ella led us the whole way - I foresee lots of hiking with her this summer.

Ella really like the hike to Hickman's Bridge while the twins had fun with Nick & their friend Elliot on a different hike.

But, it was great to see so many smiles this weekend.

Even if the long days, skipped naps and mega hikes led to some interesting moments.

The weather cooperated - despite very strong wind, the temperatures didn't drop too low.

I'm not going to mention the snow I see outside this morning.

We are just going to focus on the warm campfire, Navajo folk tale stories, flash light tag, s'mores, hikes, scavenger hunts & good times we shared with our friends.

The laundry is almost done.

The dirt & sand has been scrubbed away -from us & the car.
