Halloween in Utah

Quite the amazing rescue tonight. And quite spectacular live footage from inside the Chilean mines. As I was watching, I started to get claustrophobic. I'm so glad the collapse had such a happy ending.
On a lighter note, last year, I made a cute photo display with all the yearly Halloween photos of the kids. Since it's packed away in some box, I wanted to revisit these photos digitally. I love October - the weather isn't too cold yet (though I finally caved and turned on the heat tonight) and there are so many fun activities. While our time is limited, I'm trying to list what we want to do this month.
First up, Frightmares at Lagoon. Despite the scary name, there are plenty of kid friendly activities - especially if you arrive before dark. My kids were drawn in by the radio ads & were begging to go.
Next, Garden After Dark. We are hoping to go with Aunt Jessie next weekend. Bundle up & enjoy the fun!
Boo at the Zoo is always fun, but always packed (especially if it is a pretty day). For older kids, the night activities look spook-a-licious.
Black Island Farms is a favorite of the kids (Ella got to go with Tia already this season - we'll see if I make it on Ella's school field trip later this month).
I've heard so much about it, but I have never been to Gardner Village. We will be there Saturday for a photo shoot.

I can't wait! I have also never been to Thanksgiving Point & hope to make it to the cornbelly's maze with the kids.

I've been suckered in by the Odyessy Dance Theater's ads for their Thriller performance. Do I have enough days left to see a performance?
Since they don't trick or treat on Sunday here, we'll be heading up to Main Street in Park City for Howl o' Ween (dog parade) & trick or treating with the kids.
And then there is the Romero's annual party and the can't miss school carnival. Maybe we'll make one last visit to Tracy Aviary  and, of course, we'll enjoy some pumpkin bagels, maybe some apple cider, we could try picking apples again, catching the Children's Theatre or going to Wheeler Farm. Ella LOVES the Symphony performances - maybe I'll take all three to the Haunted Symphony.  We'll have to be out of the house for Open Houses anyway, we'll see what we have time to do. Any other local favorites I am forgetting?
