Happy New Year! After 6 weeks of lovely weather, Ella & Nick drove 5 minutes & took a 15 minute tram ride to the top of Sandia Peak (2 miles high!) for the first ski run of the season. It was ZERO at the top & very windy (but according to Jessica, Park City wasn't much warmer). Nick said he tried to keep a brave face for Ella who calmly mentioned her nose (the only part of her exposed) was a little cold. They made it three runs & came home to warm up.
When she got home, Greta ran up & gave her a big bear hug and shrank back surprised at how cold Ella still was. Ella was a trooper & excitedly told me that when she spilled the Gatorade on her jacket, it froze. Here's hoping your New Year's Day is a bit warmer!
